All the way from Washington State, a World War II-era colonel's uniform was found in a thrift store and returned to the owner's granddaughter in Baltimore. Heather Shreve keeps her grandfather's uniform in plastic to preserve it. It's a part of a rich history. Last July, a U.S. retired commander found it at a thrift store in Spokane, Washington, and emailed Shreve about the find. Coincidentally, she learned about it on what would have been Col. Arthur Lee Shreve Jr.'s 120th birthday.
